Property management companies and housing estates can request ECPAL’s food waste recycling service through a simple 4-step onboarding process:Site Inspection & Assessment: ECPAL conducts an on-site audit to evaluate collection locations, logisitical routes, and bin requirements.Tailored Proposal & Schedule: We establish a customized collection frequency (ranging from 1 to 7 times weekly) based on estate size and waste volume.Equipment & Staff Onboarding: We provide dedicated food waste recycling bins along with operational guidelines for estate cleaning staff and educational materials for residents.Scheduled On-Site Collection: Our team conducts regular, hygienic pickups to ensure seamless waste diversion without disrupting residents.

ECPAL enforces strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to Hong Kong's tropical climate. We recommend a collection schedule of at least twice per week. All collection points utilize leak-proof pedal bins. Also, we replace the full bins with a clean empty sanitized bins during every collection. Furthermore, our team conducts on-site sanitation inspections and provides bin-washing protocols to completely eliminate bad odors, leachate leaks, and pest attraction.

For safety reasons, physical collections are temporarily suspended when Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Black Rainstorm Warning is in effect. ECPAL resumes all collection services within 24 hours after the warning signal is lowered, maintaining close coordination with property managers.
